4Quarti is all about Soul and Funk inspired electronic music on 7" vinyl BUT 33rpm instead of 45rpm, respecting our beloved playing format but allowing that 12"-ish music lenght and sound quality.
The initial task of 4Quarti is to work as an in-house remixing outfit for the catalogue of Cannonball and Tesla but immediately open to welcome new productions from colleagues we are connected with (Dimitri From Paris, Idjut Boys, Spinna and many others). Got a demo? Send it over!


"I had another dream that finally came true.
The dream of putting my head back on what I've been doing for most part of the 90s after Cunnie's album opened my eyes to different scenarios. The use of samples and the combination of real instruments and electronic music (well the electronic music back then was far from being producer- friendly compared to nowadays) has been a challenge I always embraced with enthusiasm, therefore 4QUARTI RECORDINGS comes as a natural evolution of things.
Rocca and I know each other since the 90's when we were pioneering the evolution of black American dance music to the dancefloors of 2 italian seminal clubs, Maffia and Rototom, spots and crowds very far from the Italian dance mainstream of the time.
We both have been producing since the early days, exploring different sounds, from Drum & Bass to Ninja Tune funk, from Paper Recordings to Glasgow Underground to the early Nuphonic beats etc… All starting from our common rooted passion for soul and funk.
Rocca then took on his path of electronic music devotee, while I went in the opposite direction instead, deepening the studio procedures with musicians, exploring the music writing and the arrangement techniques used in Detroit, Philadelphia and other great cities back in the day.
So one day Rocca and myself were on some lazy talking and we thought it was time to create another little label to reflect the natural evolution of the music that is our lifetime passion."
